Spider-Man: No Way Home, one of the highest-grossing films of all time, is coming to Sky and NOW next month – where subscribers will finally be able to watch it on their TV at no extra cost.
The third sequel in the Tom Holland fronted franchise is already available in the UK as a digital VOD purchase, and on physical media (DVD and Blu-ray), but many were waiting for it to come to the subscription-based TV platforms.
Well, the wait is almost over. Sky confirmed to us that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be coming to Sky TV and its streaming service NOW on July 15, 2022 – almost eight months after its original cinematic release.
The film was released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2021, and became available for digital purchase in the UK on March 15, 2022.
Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Jon Watts, is the 3rd film in the Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland (who also appeared in several other Marvel films, including Avengers: Endgame).
Following up from the ending of Spider-Man: Far From Home, with Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, our friendly neighbourhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero.
Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, but when his spell to restore Spider-Man’s identity goes awry, Peter is forced to overcome his greatest challenge yet.
Along with Holland, the film also stars Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and a few exciting guest stars and cameos which we won’t spoil here.
The film became Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing film ever, and is, as of this writing, the third highest-grossing film ever in the US.
Why Is Spider-Man: No Way Home Not On Disney+?
Even though Spider-Man: No Way Home is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s NOT going to be streaming on Disney+, where most of the other Marvel titles are available.
That’s because Sony Pictures is the primary rights holder – therefore the entire trilogy isn’t available on Disney+ in the UK (though it may end up there in the more distant future).
In the US, the film will be available on the Starz streaming service (which doesn’t exist in the UK, although we have a different version of it – StarzPlay).
