Black Friday Streaming Deals: Fire TV, Sky, ITVX & More

This post may contain affiliate links*

Yes, it’s that time of the year again – Black Friday (along with Cyber Monday, if we’re still calling it that) – and if you’re looking for a streaming device or a Freesat box, a new streaming service, or even an old-style Sky or EE TV subscription – everything is now discounted.

As usual, most of these discounts are only available for a few days, so be mindful of that. Also, remember that the prices mentioned are as correct as of this writing – but they sometimes change throughout the Black Friday weekend.

And as always, please remember that you should only buy stuff you were planning to buy anyway – a discount is not a reason to buy something you don’t need or can’t afford.

Streaming Devices – Black Friday Discounts

Almost All Fire TV Devices Now On Sale

I’m a big fan of Amazon’s Fire TV devices (yes, even though their interface is somewhat cluttered), and this time around, practically every Firestick is discounted, along with some of the Fire TV television sets.

The Fire TV Stick HD (2024 model) is down to £27.99 from £39.99, while the Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) sees an impressive drop to £34.99 (normally £59.99).

The premium Fire TV Stick 4K Max is now £44.99 (was £69.99), and the Fire TV Cube has been reduced to £109.99 from £139.99. Even the Alexa Voice Remote Pro has been discounted to £22.99 (usually £34.99).

The standout deal is the Fire TV Stick 4K at £34.99, which now costs less than the HD stick’s normal price while offering superior features like 4K resolution, Dolby Vision, and Wi-Fi 6 support.

If you’re not sure which Fire TV stick to get – see my detailed comparison of all of them.

Fire TV Omni TVs Discounts

Amazon’s new Fire TV televisions, launched earlier this month, are also available with introductory discounts until December 2.

Fire TV 4-Series apps

The premium Omni QLED Mini-LED series features advanced display technology with 960 dimming zones and 1,400 nits peak brightness, available in three sizes: 55-inch (£649.99), 65-inch (£949.99), and 75-inch (£1,299.99).

The more affordable 4-Series TVs, featuring 4K resolution and a new ultra-slim design, are priced at £279.99 for the 43-inch, £329.99 for 50-inch, and £379.99 for 55-inch models.

Roku Black Friday Deals

Roku is the leading manufacturer of streaming devices in the US – and for a good reason, with excellent devices and a very simple and easy-to-use interface.

For Black Friday, Roku is offering discounts on some of their devices that are currently sold in the UK.

Sky TV Black Friday Deals 2024

Sky is ushering in Black Friday with enticing offers on its standalone streaming devices, the Sky Glass TV set and the Sky Stream puck.

These discounts include:

These are the same prices as last year’s Black Friday – even though the base prices have gone up since then – so this is a great chance to jump on Sky Stream’s bandwagon – IF you were looking into Sky anyway.

Sky is also discounting several content add-ons for Black Friday 2024:

  • Sky Sports is temporarily down to £20/month (instead of £28/month) on the 24-month contract, or £22/m (instead of £30) on the rolling contract.
  • Sky Cinema is down to £8/month (instead of £13) on the 24-month contract, and £13/m (instead of £16) on the rolling contract (and you also get Paramount+ Standard at no extra cost).
  • TNT Sports (formerly known as BT Sport) is down to £26/month (instead of £30/m) – and you now also get the full Discovery+ Premium plan (which includes TNT Sports on other devices) if you sign up for TNT Sports via Sky.
  • Sky Kids is down to £4/month (instead of £7).
  • The Ultra HD (4K) and Dolby Atmos add-on is down to £4/month (instead of £6).

If you want to watch in additional rooms, you need the “Whole Home” add-on, which is now £10/month (instead of £13) – with the first Stream puck (for the second room) being free.

And lastly, if you want to be able to skip the adverts on Sky Glass (or, more accurately – fast forward them) – you’ll have to pay £5/month for the privilege – but there’s no discount on that.

EE TV’s Black Friday Deals 2024

EE TV (formerly known as BT TV), which is now the TV service for both BT Broadband and EE Broadband customers, is also offering several Black Friday discounts.

So, for example, new customers can now get the Entertainment TV bundle, which includes several popular streaming services and channels as well as a 4K Freeview recording box or a custom Apple TV 4K box, for just £14/month (instead of the usual £20/m) – for the whole duration of the contract (24 months) – so it’s a total discount of £144.

Alternatively, there are Black Friday discounts on the Sports bundles – with the biggest savings coming on the Big Sport bundle, which includes TNT Sports (formerly known as BT Sport), Eurosport and Discovery+, as well as Sky Sports.

You can currently get that bundle for £35/month (instead of £45/m), for the entire duration – so you end up saving a total of £240.

The upfront setup fee has also been waived on all of the Black Friday bundles.

As always, there are a few caveats – for example, remember that the prices WILL go up in March 2025, according to BT’s new annual price increase model (which means an extra £2/month for the TV bundles).

Also, remember that EE’s TV offers are only available as an add-on for BT and EE Broadband customers – so you can’t get any of them as a standalone offer.

But if you’re not with BT yet, there are discounts to be had on broadband as well.

Virgin Media Black Friday 2024 Offers

Virgin Media is ramping up its Black Friday offerings as well, with a Disney+ bonus deal for new customers.

When you sign up for any Virgin Media broadband package before December 8, you’ll get three months of Disney+ Standard completely free – perfect timing for cosying up with some festive entertainment.

The deal, worth £26.97, is available across their full range of broadband packages from M250 to their Gig1.

Virgin Media is also slashing prices across its broadband and TV bundles, with potential savings of up to £255.

Their standalone broadband deals start from just £25.99 per month for M250 – with the first three months being free on some of the bundles.

Those looking for the full entertainment package might fancy the Biggest Bundle Gig1, which comes with average speeds of 1,130Mbps, over 218 TV channels including Sky Cinema HD and Sky Sports HD, plus Netflix Standard with Ads – all for £85 per month.

Keep in mind that these bundles come with Virgin Media’s “traditional” TV360 box, and not the streaming-based Stream box.

Freesat Black Friday 2024 Offer

Freesat has launched major Black Friday discounts on their 4K recording boxes, offering £50 off until December 9.

The 500GB model is now £179.99 (was £229.99) while the 1TB version is £209.99 (was £259.99).

Freesat Black Friday 2024

While these are the lowest-ever prices, potential buyers should note some recent changes: remote recording was removed in June 2024, there’s uncertainty about security updates beyond March 2025, and a new interface rolled out last month has received mixed feedback.

However, if Freeview reception is bad in your area, and you don’t want to pay for a pay-TV subscription – Freesat can be a good option.

ITVX Black Friday Offer

ITVX’s Black Friday promotion offers its Premium tier for £2 per month for two months (normally £5.99/month), available until December 9.

The deal gives you ad-free streaming of ITVX content (well, most of it) plus access to BritBox’s full library, Studio Canal Presents films, and Hayu Select’s reality TV shows.

Both new and returning subscribers can claim the offer through ITVX’s website, with new users also getting a 7-day free trial. Just remember it auto-renews at full price after the promotional period.

Paramount+ Half Price Deal

Following its recent switch to a three-tier pricing structure, the streaming service is offering significant discounts on both its Premium and Standard tiers.

The Premium tier (which now includes 4K HDR streaming, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and streaming on up to 4 devices) is available for £5.49/month for the first three months (usually £10.99), or you can get an annual subscription for £48.99 for the first year (usually £97.99).

The Standard tier (HD quality, up to 2 devices) is discounted to £3.99/month for the first three months (usually £7.99).

Both tiers are ad-free and include the full Paramount+ library with shows like Yellowstone, Star Trek and more. These deals are available until December 2.

The offers are available either directly via Paramount+ or through the Amazon Prime Video Channels version (but only for the Standard tier).

Premium Prime Video Channels For £0.99

Amazon is offering premium Prime Video Channels for just £0.99/months, for up to 3 months, before they go back to their regular price.

Prime Video Channels are an add-on to an Amazon Prime Video subscription. They launched in the UK back in 2017, and the list of available channels has been growing since, and now includes some well-known properties.

You must have an Amazon Prime subscription first (or Prime Video), and then you can add the channels on top of that.

Once you subscribe, you can watch the channels on your desktop, your smartphone, or on your TV, via the Amazon Prime Video app, which is available on most Smart TVs and most streaming devices.

The list of discounted channels includes Crunchyroll, Studio Canal Presents, History Play, BFI Player and more.

Audible – £0.99/m For 3 Months

Streaming TV is not the only entertainment out there – you can also stream audiobooks, thanks to Audible, which has one of the largest audiobook collections in the world.

Their monthly subscription gives you book credits each month. The normal subscription costs £7.99/month, and you get one credit a month (each credit is worth one audiobook, in most cases).

With the subscription, you now also get unlimited listening to Audible Plus – which is a library of thousands of audiobooks, podcasts and Audible originals.

For Black Friday this year, you can get your first three months for just £0.99/month, AND you get a £10 Audible Credit which you can use to buy more audiobooks.

After the three months are up, the subscription will renew at the regular rate – unless you cancel.
