Paramount+, the American streaming service that offers films and TV shows from CBS, Paramount, Showtime and more – is having a big Black Friday sale in the UK this week.
Paramount+ is known for several exclusive titles, such as Yellowstone, Halo, most of the Star Trek shows and films, and Paramount+ blockbusters such as Scream, Sonic 2 and Top Gun: Maverick which is coming in December.
For a limited time (we’re not sure how long – presumably until Black Friday), you can get an annual subscription to Paramount+ UK for 50% off.
Your subscription will start after the usual 7-day free trial, but there are a few caveats (see full instructions below).
What Is Paramount+?
Paramount+, owned by Paramount Global (previously ViacomCBS), launched in the US in 2014 and was originally known as CBS All Access.
In the past year, Paramount+ started going global, launching in various countries. By the end of the first quarter of 2022, Paramount+ had a total of almost 40 million customers.
With it being a streaming service, Paramount+ requires a broadband connection, and is not available via an aerial or satellite.
Paramount+ UK offers more than 8,000 hours of content, including TV shows and feature films.
It features original shows that aren’t available anywhere else, like Halo, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The First Lady, Tulsa King, Yellowstone, 1883 and more.
New content gets added to Paramount+ every month – here’s what’s coming this month, for example.

The service is not available on Virgin Media yet – but it’s coming next year.
You can add Paramount+ to an unlimited number of devices, but can only watch on up to two devices at the same time.
If your device is not currently supported, but it does have the Amazon Prime Video app – you can sign up and watch via the Prime Video Channels version of Paramount+ (but you won’t get the Black Friday deal via Prime Video).
Paramount+ Black Friday Deal
Normally, Paramount+ costs £6.99/month or £69.90/year in the UK. And, there’s usually a 7-days free trial that’s available to all new customers.
For Black Friday, you can currently get 50% off on the annual subscription, taking the price down to £34.95 for your first year.
Do note that once the year is over, you will automatically pay the regular £69.90/year rate – unless you cancel before that happens.
This deal is only available to New or Returning – so if you’ve had Paramount+ before, you can come back with the discounted price – but if you have an active Paramount+ subscription, you can’t get this offer.
The offer is only available when you subscribe directly on Paramount+, and is not available on the Prime Video Channels version of Paramount+.
