Get Netflix Free For 21 Days With This New Trick

Last year, Netflix stopped offering a free 30-days trial in the UK. Last month, it started offering a 50% off discount in its place – but that offer is now gone.

This week, however, there’s a new free trial of sorts –  21 days – in the form of a money-back guarantee. Here’s how you can get it (but only if you’re a new user).

Netflix, the American streaming giant, has been operating in the UK since 2012.

They offer thousands of films and TV shows (and even more, if you learn how to watch US Netflix in the UK), with a simple subscription that doesn’t come with a long contract – you can start and stop whenever you want (see our full Netflix review).

Netflix’ app requires a broadband connection, and it’s available on almost every streaming device and Smart TV.

Once the free trial was discontinued in the UK, and in an attempt to lure in new customers, Netflix started offering some of its content for free last August, mainly first episodes of Netflix Originals and a couple of films.

Then came October’s deal of getting either 50% off your first two months, or your second month free – and now, with those deals gone, there’s a new offer for new customers.

Starting this week, new members who go to the Netflix homepage, get a “100% entertainment guaranteed, Or your money back” offer – which means you can subscribe and then cancel for any reason within 21 days – and get a full refund.

Netflix refund deal

It’s important to note you still have to sign up with a debit/credit card, choose a Netflix plan and pay for it. The three tiers currently available are:

  • Basic, for £5.99/month, with SD video quality and only 1 person watching at a time.
  • Standard, for £8.99/month with HD video quality and up to 2 persons watching at a time
  • Premium, for £11.99/month with 4K/HDR video quality and up to 4 persons watching at a time.

You will be charged immediately, but, before the 21 days are up, you can cancel the plan and get your money back.

If you choose to continue your subscription without cancelling, then nothing is free – therefore this is different than a regular “Free Trial” which gives you free days even if you then keep your subscription.

However, savvy users (who were not subscribed to Netflix in the past) can simply cancel before the 21 days are up, get their money back for those days – and THEN re-subscribe at the normal price point, essentially getting their first 21 days for free.

It’s unclear how long this offer is going to remain active, as Netflix keeps changing these new-member offers, so use it while you still can.
