EE TV Just Raised Prices Again: Get Ready To Pay More

EE TV has quietly increased the prices of several of its popular TV bundles, affecting Sport and Premium packages while leaving Entertainment plans untouched.

If you’re considering signing up for any of EE’s sports offerings, you’ll now need to dig a bit deeper into your pockets.

The price changes come just days after Eurosport completed its integration into TNT Sports at the end of February, yet another price increase for UK TV viewers to keep track of.

Background: EE TV and Its Bundles

For those not familiar with EE TV’s offerings, it’s worth noting that the service was formerly known as BT TV until BT rebranded it in 2023 (both EE and BT are owned by the same parent company).

The platform operates on a “flexible” bundle model, allowing subscribers to switch between different packages during their 24-month contract (you can make changes every 30 days).

So you can have the basic Entertainment package for a few months, then upgrade to include Sport when the football season starts, for example.

There’s a catch, though – you can only get EE TV if you’re also a BT or EE broadband customer. It’s not available as a standalone service like Sky Stream, so you’ll need to factor in broadband costs as well.

And – the broadband part is not flexible, and you have to sign a 24-month contract.

EE TV offers two main device options:

1. The EE TV Box Pro: A 4K/HDR YouView-based device that supports recording from Freeview channels (with some of the channels being available without an aerial), has 1TB of storage, and comes with apps like Netflix, Prime Video, NOW, YouTube, and the major UK catch-up services.

2. Apple TV 4K EE Box: A specially configured Apple TV 4K box that provides access to EE TV services, including live Freeview channels via broadband.

The New EE TV Prices

These price increases affect new customers only – if you’re currently under contract with EE TV, your monthly payments won’t change beyond the standard annual price adjustments (which are due for many subscribers at the end of this month).

Let’s look at what’s changed in EE TV’s pricing lineup:

Entertainment and Big Entertainment Plans (Unchanged)

Good news first – if you’re looking at either the Entertainment or Big Entertainment packages, the prices remain the same as before, for now at least.

The Entertainment bundle (£20/month) still includes:

  • NOW Entertainment (with Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, and other Sky channels)
  • Netflix Standard with Ads
  • Discovery+ Basic (which doesn’t include any sports content)
  • EE TV 4K Pro Box or Apple TV 4K EE Box

The Big Entertainment bundle (£30/month) continues to include:

  • NOW Entertainment
  • NOW Cinema
  • Netflix Standard with Ads
  • Discovery+ Basic
  • EE TV 4K Pro Box or Apple TV 4K EE Box

It’s interesting to note that Netflix recently raised its prices in the UK – which often leads to increases in bundles from EE TV, Sky and Virgin Media – but, for the time being, EE TV’s Entertainment bundles that include Netflix have not gone up in price.

Sport Plan (Price Increase: £3)

The Sport Plan has crept up from £20/month to £23/month (and will rise to £25/month from March 31, 2026).

This bundle includes:

  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (now with integrated Eurosport content)
  • Discovery+ Premium (which includes streaming versions of TNT Sports)
  • EE TV 4K Pro Box or Apple TV 4K EE Box

Big Sport Plan (Price Increase: £3)

The Big Sport Plan has jumped from £45/month to £48/month (rising to £50/month from March 31, 2026).

This comprehensive sports package includes:

  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (including former Eurosport content)
  • NOW Sky Sports (with all 11 Sky Sports channels including Sky Sports+)
  • Discovery+ Premium
  • EE TV 4K Pro Box or Apple TV 4K EE Box

Full Works Plan (Price Increase: £2)

The premium Full Works Plan (formerly called “VIP” under BT TV) has increased from £78/month to £80/month (and will be £82/month from March 31, 2026).

This all-inclusive bundle features:

  • NOW Entertainment Membership
  • NOW Cinema Membership
  • NOW Boost (for Full HD and ad-free on-demand content)
  • Netflix Standard Plan (Full HD, no adverts)
  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (with integrated Eurosport content)
  • NOW Sky Sports (all 11 channels including Sky Sports+)
  • Discovery+ Premium
  • EE TV 4K Pro Box or Apple TV 4K EE Box

Remember that all these prices are only for the TV part of the deal, and you will also need to pay for BT or EE’s broadband plans on top.

Also remember that EE TV follows an annual price increase model – but new customers who subscribe this month will not be subject to the upcoming March 31, 2025 price increases.

Instead, all new TV bundles are set to rise by an additional £2/month from March 31, 2026.

The Eurosport Factor

These price increases come shortly after a major change in sports broadcasting here in the UK, with Eurosport closing its channels on February 28, 2025, and moving all its content to TNT Sports.

While Sky and Virgin Media customers who previously enjoyed Eurosport as part of their basic packages are more significantly affected (now needing to pay for TNT Sports), EE TV customers have always needed a Sport bundle to access these channels.

Nevertheless, the integration means TNT Sports now offers an expanded content library, including:

  • Tennis Grand Slams like the Australian Open and Roland-Garros
  • Cycling events including Grand Tours and UCI Mountain Bike World Series
  • Winter sports championships
  • British and World Superbikes
  • Snooker tournaments
  • Future Olympic Games coverage (2026-2032)

This is on top of TNT’s existing coverage of Premier League football, Champions League, Premiership Rugby, MotoGP, international cricket, UFC, and boxing.

Is EE TV Worth It?

Despite the price increases, EE TV’s bundles can still offer decent value – to some – if you’re already planning to subscribe to multiple streaming services.

For example, if you were to subscribe directly to Discovery+ Premium (£30.99/month) for TNT Sports content, you’d already be paying more than EE’s Sport Plan at £23/month – and that’s without factoring in the EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K.

Similarly, combining NOW Sky Sports (around £26/month on a 6-month contract) with Discovery+ Premium would cost you nearly £57/month separately – making the £48/month Big Sport bundle look more appealing.

The value proposition is strongest if you’re already a BT or EE broadband customer and know you’ll want these services for the duration of the 24-month contract.

The flexibility to switch between packages is also a nice bonus, allowing you to adjust your TV package throughout the year based on sporting seasons.

However, if you only watch sports occasionally or prefer the flexibility of month-to-month subscriptions, and you don’t plan to become a BT or EE broadband customers – the long contracts and rising prices might make standalone streaming services more appealing.

  1. You state “ The EE TV Box Pro: A 4K/HDR YouView-based device that supports recording from Freeview channels”
It also has the ability to record the Now Entertainment channels, the Sky and TNT Sports channels and the Sky Cinema channels if you have the appropriate subscription
