TNT Sports Prices Cut – But Only If You Lock In For A Year

After axing all annual plans earlier this year, Discovery+ has brought back discounted yearly billing for TNT Sports – the second time in two months they’ve revived the option.

Until November 25 (or until the first 25,000 customers sign up, whichever comes first), you can lock in TNT Sports for £25.49 per month over a 12-month commitment, saving £66 compared to paying the standard £30.99 monthly rate.

That works out to £305.88 for the year rather than £371.88 – a decent saving if you’re planning to stick with TNT Sports for the full Premier League and Champions League season anyway.

And, unlike last time, this offer is available either directly, or via the TNT Sports Prime Video channel.

But before you rush to sign up, there are a few important details lurking in the small print that are worth understanding first.

The Return Of Annual Billing (Again)

The last time this deal appeared was in late September, just months after Warner Bros. Discovery unceremoniously axed all yearly subscription options back in February.

That move forced all subscribers onto monthly billing, eliminating the £39.99 annual Basic tier plan that had previously saved entertainment fans nearly £8 per year.

But then, Warner Bros. Discovery launched an annual deal, offering the same £25.49 monthly rate for TNT Sports over 12 months. That promotion ran until September 30 and appeared to be a one-off – until now.

With the Premier League season well underway and the Champions League knockout stages approaching, this seems designed to lock in sports fans for the remainder of the season whilst competing with rival platforms offering their own promotional deals.

What You’re Actually Getting

This deal is specifically for TNT Sports without any of Discovery+’s entertainment content – so you won’t get access to shows from Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, or any of the other lifestyle and factual programming that Discovery+ offers.

What you will get is comprehensive sports coverage across four TNT Sports channels, including all the content that was previously on Eurosport before it was absorbed into TNT Sports earlier this year.

That means Premier League football, UEFA Champions League, tennis Grand Slams (Australian Open and Roland-Garros), MotoGP, cycling Grand Tours, winter sports, UFC, boxing, Premiership Rugby, and international cricket.

All of this comes with adverts, as Discovery+ doesn’t offer an ad-free tier at any price point.

You’ll pay £25.49 each month for 12 consecutive months rather than paying the full £305.88 upfront, but you’re committed to the full year with no option to cancel early.

The Small Print You Need To Know

Here’s where things get a bit more complicated than the headline price suggests.

Discovery Plus annual deal 2025
The November 2025 Offer

First, the deal auto-renews after your 12 months are up – and Warner Bros. Discovery hasn’t specified what price you’ll be paying when it does.

Given their track record of price increases (the Premium tier jumped from £29.99 to £30.99 in January 2024, and they’ve restructured their entire pricing model multiple times this year), there’s no guarantee you’ll be paying £25.49 per month in November 2026.

You’ll need to set a calendar reminder to cancel before your renewal date if you don’t want to automatically continue at whatever rate they decide to charge.

Second, this is a first-come, first-served offer capped at 25,000 customers. Once that limit is reached, the deal vanishes regardless of whether November 25 has arrived yet.

There’s no way to know how many of those slots have already been claimed since the offer launched earlier this week, so if you’re keen, don’t hang about deliberating for too long.

Also, it’s worth noting that the current deal is available until November 25 – just 3 days before Black Friday. Will we see a better deal on Black Friday, or will it be the same one again? We still don’t know.

Prime Video Channels Option Available Too

Unlike the September promotion, this time the annual deal is also available through Prime Video Channels – Amazon’s platform that lets Prime members add subscription services to their existing Prime Video account.

Prime Video Channels lets you subscribe to services like Discovery+, Paramount+, and other streaming platforms without downloading separate apps or managing multiple logins.

Everything appears within your Prime Video interface, with a unified watchlist and consistent playback experience.

You’ll still need an Amazon Prime membership (£8.99 per month or £95 annually), but if you already have that, adding channels can be more convenient than juggling multiple apps.

The catch? Your subscription is locked to whichever platform you choose.

If you subscribe through Prime Video Channels, you can only watch TNT Sports within the Prime Video app on compatible devices. You won’t be able to use the Discovery+ app or website.

Conversely, if you subscribe directly through Discovery+, you can’t watch via Prime Video – even if you have an active Prime membership.

So think carefully about which interface you prefer before signing up.

The Discovery+ app recently underwent a major overhaul, introducing a new design that’s closer to HBO Max’s interface, but frustrated some users who found sports navigation more cumbersome than before.

Prime Video’s interface might be more familiar if you’re already using it for other content, though it doesn’t offer the same sports-specific features that Discovery+ has developed.

How Does This Compare To Other Options?

The £25.49 monthly rate represents a £5.50 discount compared to the standard Discovery+ Premium price of £30.99 per month (which includes both TNT Sports and entertainment content).

But it’s worth noting that if you’re willing to commit to a longer contract and don’t mind bundling it with broadband, there’s currently an even better deal available through EE TV.

EE’s Sport bundle, which includes all four TNT Sports channels plus Discovery+ Premium (so you get entertainment content as well), is currently available from £18 per month on a 24-month contract (down from their usual £23/month).

The price does go up by £2/month every March, so across the contract, you’ll be paying:

  • £18/month until March 31, 2026
  • £20/month from March 31, 2026
  • £22/month from March 31, 2027

Even with the price increases, the EE TV offer is still considerably cheaper.

The obvious trade-off? You’re locked into a 24-month broadband contract with BT or EE, which isn’t feasible for everyone – particularly if you’re happy with your current internet provider.

The Discovery+ annual deal offers more flexibility, requiring only a 12-month commitment without forcing you to switch broadband providers.

The Bigger Picture: Discovery+ In 2025

This year has seen relentless change for Discovery+ subscribers.

After axing annual plans in February, the service also eliminated its middle-tier Standard option (which included Eurosport content for £6.99 per month).

That created a big price gap between the Basic entertainment tier at £3.99 per month and the Premium tier with TNT Sports at £30.99 per month – leaving sports fans who’d been paying £6.99 for Eurosport facing either a massive price increase or losing access to their favourite events entirely.

The changes particularly stung for tennis and cycling fans who had no interest in Premier League football or UEFA Champions League coverage but were suddenly forced to pay for it anyway.

By July, Discovery+ had introduced three new tiers in another restructuring attempt, though the core problem remained – watching any sports content on Discovery+ requires paying for the full Premium package.

All of these constant changes – the pricing restructures, the app redesign, the on-again-off-again annual deals – increasingly look like preparation for HBO Max’s arrival in the UK in early 2026.

Warner Bros. Discovery appears to be streamlining Discovery+ and testing different pricing models before they need to figure out how to bundle or integrate HBO Max with their existing UK streaming offerings.

When HBO Max does launch early next year, we’ll likely see new bundling options that combine HBO’s premium dramas with Discovery’s factual content and TNT Sports, similar to how Disney packages Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ in the US market.

Whether that means Discovery+ will eventually be absorbed into HBO Max entirely (as happened in some other markets) or continue as a separate service remains to be seen – but the constant tinkering with Discovery+’s structure suggests Warner Bros. Discovery is still figuring out the optimal setup.

  1. Another option is to get TNT through O2. It costs £26.99 per month and you also get a £2 discount on your O2 bill making the net cost £24.99 per month. The minimum commitment is just one month.

  2. You should get a new picture for TNT, it’s still got Roman Reigns in it and TNT haven’t had WWE since last new years eve..
