It took a while – but Spider-Man: No Way Home, one of the highest-grossing films of all times, is now available on home streaming in the UK (and around the world), one week earlier than originally expected.

Physical copies of the film will also soon be available to purchase, on Blu-ray and DVD.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2021, and became available for digital purchase in the UK on March 15, 2022.

As of this writing, the film is not available as a digital rental, but as a digital purchase – so you buy and then own it forever, with the ability to re-watch as you please.

It’s available on many of the leading digital VOD stores, such as Amazon’s Prime Video, iTunes, Rakuten and others.

Originally, Spider-Man: No Way Home was set to be released digitally on March 22, but was eventually released on March 15 – presumably due to an illegal leak of an HD copy of the film.

This date spells a 90 days wait between the film’s theatrical release and its streaming debut – a longer wait than we’ve gotten used to in recent months, brought along by the film’s immense success in movie theatres.

Physical editions of No Way Home, DVD and 4K (UHD) Blu-ray, will be released on April 4, 2022. These are also available to pre-order from Amazon.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Jon Watts, is the 3rd film in the Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland (who also appeared in several other Marvel films, including Avengers: Endgame).

Following up from the ending of Spider-Man: Far From Home, with Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, our friendly neighbourhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero.

Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, but when his spell to restore Spider-Man’s identity goes awry, Peter is forced to overcome his greatest challenge yet.

Along with Holland, the film also stars Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and a few exciting guest stars and cameos which we won’t spoil here.

The film became Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing film ever, and is, as of this writing, the third highest-grossing film ever in the US, making $772 million and counting.

How To Watch ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Online In The UK

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to purchase and stream digitally.

The film is available on Amazon’s Prime Video store, Rakuten TV, Google Play Store, and other streaming video stores.

This is not a Premium Rental – instead, the film is available as a digital purchase, which you buy and then own digitally.

As of this writing, the price stands at £13.99 for the HD and 4K versions.

There’s also a special X-Ray version of the film on Prime Video, which includes “bonus videos, photo galleries, and trivia”.

At its current price point, it is similar to the cost of past premium rentals, such as No Time To Die and Dune (which were £15.99), but there’s one major difference – a premium rental is only available to watch for 48 hours, while a digital purchase lets you own the film indefinitely.

At a later date (usually a few weeks after the initial release) the film will most likely become available as a lower-cost digital rental.

Many recent films – even blockbusters – became available to stream just 45 days (or even less) after their release in cinemas. But with No Way Home still making money in cinemas, it made sense that the wait would be longer – and indeed, there’s a 90 days window this time.

Can I Watch ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ On Disney+ or Netflix?

A few months after the VOD purchase and rental releases, the movie will arrive to subscription-based streaming services.

In the US, the film will become available at that point on the Starz streaming service (which doesn’t exist in the UK, although we have a different version of it – StarzPlay).

In the UK, however, it is still unknown which streaming subscription service Spider-Man: No Way Home will end up on. Even though it is part of the Marvel Universe, Sony Pictures is the primary rights holder – therefore the trilogy isn’t available on Disney+ in the UK.

So it may end up on Netflix in the UK, or even Sky / NOW – but an announcement hasn’t been made yet.
