Prime Day 2025: Hot Fire TV Deals And Streaming Offers

Yes, it’s that time of the year again – Amazon’s own private holiday – Prime Day. But this year, you get not one, not two, but FOUR days of discounts (can we just get a month and be done with it?) with some good deals on streaming devices, premium channels and more.

As always, finding good offers can be tricky, so I’m here to help. This year, the ALL of Amazon’s Fire TV devices are discounted – with some of the lowest prices I’ve ever seen for these (including the Fire TV Soundbar Plus, which I’m a big fan of).

You can also find several premium streaming services that are offering extended free trials, free months on Audible, and more.

Don’t forget that as always, in order to take part in the Prime Day sales and offers, you need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber.

Prime usually costs either £95/year or £8.99/month (which then comes down to £107.88/year), or £4.49 for students and 18-24 year olds. Either way, you then get free next-day shipping, a big library of movies and TV shows via Prime Video, and a number of other perks.

You can get a 30-days free trial for Prime – which you can use for Prime Day’s special deals, and then cancel if you don’t want it anymore.

Streaming Devices Prime Day Deals

Streaming content via broadband is the cornerstone of TV cord cutting, with services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon’s own Prime Video. But if you want to watch these services on your telly, you need a streamer (or a Smart TV).

And while Smart TVs are getting better and better, sometimes you don’t want to replace your trusty old TV (or perhaps your Smart TV’s streaming interface is just too slow and annoying). For those cases, a stand-alone streaming device is an excellent choice.

Amazon’s streaming device family has seen some changes late last year. Most recently, they launched the new Fire TV Stick HD, which replaced both the previous 3rd generation Fire TV Stick and the Fire TV Stick Lite, simplifying their lineup.

The current Fire TV lineup is designed to cater to different needs and budgets. At the entry-level, you’ll find the HD stick for 1080p streaming.

For 4K viewing, Amazon offers two options – the standard 4K stick and the more powerful 4K Max. At the premium end, the Fire TV Cube combines streaming capabilities with Echo speaker functionality.

These devices all run Amazon’s Fire TV operating system, giving you access to all major streaming services, plus features like Alexa voice control and integration with other smart home devices.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Fire TV’s interface has become somewhat cluttered over the years, full of recommendations, Prime Video promotions, adverts, apps, and more – all crammed into rows and rows of thumbnails.

Therefore, it’s not the easiest to use (compared to the simple Roku interface, for example) – yet it’s quite flexible, and offers a lot to those who want maximum choice and streaming flexibility.

In 2025, for the first time in several years – the Fire TV 4K Max stick topped my Best Streaming Devices roundup.

For Prime Day, Amazon lowered the price of practically every Firestick – and some of the Fire TV televisions as well.

Fire TV Stick HD (2024 Model)

Amazon’s newest entry-level streamer, launched just last month, brings Full HD streaming with HDR support.

While it doesn’t support 4K, it includes the latest Alexa Voice Remote with TV controls – which was previously missing from their budget offerings.

Now discounted from £39.99 to £23.99, it’s an excellent choice for secondary TVs or anyone who doesn’t care about 4K.

Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen)

Released in late 2023 (see my Fire TV Stick 4K review), this upgraded stick brings 4K streaming along with support for all major HDR formats, including Dolby Vision.

With its new processor and improved Wi-Fi 6 support, it offers significant improvements over the HD stick. Currently available at £27.99 (down from £59.99), it’s arguably the best value proposition in the lineup.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen)

The flagship streaming stick (see my Fire TV Stick 4K Max review) features the most powerful processor in the range, along with Wi-Fi 6E support and 16GB storage (double that of other models).

With extra features like the Enhanced Alexa Voice Remote, it’s built for those who want the best possible streaming experience. Now reduced from £69.99 to £39.99 – which is even lower than we’ve seen during Black Friday.

Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen)

The premium option in Amazon’s streaming lineup (see my Fire TV Cube review) combines a high-end streaming device with Echo speaker functionality.

With hands-free Alexa control and the most powerful processing of any Fire TV device, it’s perfect for those wanting a premium streaming hub. Currently discounted from £139.99 to £109.99.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro

This premium remote (see my Alexa Voice Remote Pro review) adds features like a remote finder, backlight and customisable buttons to any Fire TV device.

Usually £34.99, it’s now available for £20.99.

Fire TV Soundbar Plus

I’ve tested a lot of budget and mid-range soundbars over the years – but this one actually surprised me, even at its normal price level, with clear, impressive sound, dialogue enhancer that works but doesn’t distort the rest of the audio too much, and particularly strong bass levels.

The “Fire TV” name is just plain confusing (there’s no streaming function at all) – but if you ignore that and don’t expect any streaming or Alexa connections – you get a soundbar that punches way above its price class (see my full review of it here).

For Prime Day, it’s available for £174.99 (instead of the usual £249.99), which really drives the value for money mark to the top.

Fire TV Omni Televisions: New(ish) Models with Special Pricing

In addition to the Fire TV sticks, Amazon also sells television sets that have the Fire TV OS already built in.

Amazon’s current television lineup, which launched in late 2024, brings Mini-LED technology to the UK for the first time in their Fire TV range.

These premium sets feature up to 960 individual dimming zones and peak brightness levels of 1,400 nits, putting them in direct competition with much pricier premium TVs.

They also come with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification for gaming, support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive, and integrated support for the new Freely platform, letting you watch live TV channels without an aerial.

The 55-inch model starts at £639.99, while the 65-inch version is priced at £799.99, and the flagship 75-inch model costs £999.99.

Premium Prime Video Channels – 30 Days Free

Amazon is offering extended 30-day free trials on quite a few premium Prime Video Channels – even including Apple TV+ (where you usually get just 7 free days).

Prime Video Channels are an add-on to an Amazon Prime Video subscription. They launched in the UK back in 2017, and the list of available channels has been growing since, and now includes some well-known properties.

As mentioned, you must have an Amazon Prime subscription first (or Prime Video), and then you can add the channels on top of that.

Once you subscribe, you can watch the channels on your desktop, your smartphone, or on your TV, via the Amazon Prime Video app, which is available on most Smart TVs and most streaming devices.

Remember that once the free, 30-days trial is over, you will be billed at the regular price for that channel – so remember to cancel if you don’t want it to continue.

The list of free (for 30 days) channels includes Apple TV+, MGM+, Hayu, Shudder, Crunchyroll, Mubi and many others.

There’s also a slightly different deal for Paramount+ (as a Prime Video Channel) – you can currently get the Standard (without adverts) tier for £3.99/month (instead of £7.99/month), for up to 3 months.

Audible – Free For 3 Months

While not a streaming TV service, Audible still offers great entertainment, with one of the largest audiobook collections in the world.

Prices are best when you join a monthly subscription, which gives you new audiobook credits each and every month, as well as access to Audible Plus, a library of thousands of books, podcasts and Audible Originals that are part of the membership at no extra cost.

For Prime Day, eligible Prime members can get three free months – so that’s three book credits and access to Plus.

Free Kindle Unlimited Books Library For 3 Months

Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited is a huge library of over 1 million books and audiobooks that you can read on any device with a Kindle app (so – Android phones and tablets, iPhones, iPads and Amazon’s own Kindle devices.).

Additionally, there’s a rotating selection of popular magazines to read as part of your subscription.

For Prime Day, you can now get a free, three-month trial of Kindle Unlimited (it’s £9.49/month after that, so don’t forget to cancel if you don’t plan to keep it.)
