21 Premium TV Channels Just Went Free On Prime Video

Amazon is currently offering extended free trials on 21 of its Prime Video Channels, giving subscribers a full 30 days to test the services instead of the usual 7-day trial period.

The promotion covers a diverse range of channels, from European arthouse cinema and anime to children’s programming and performing arts.

The offer is available only until January 6, 2026, but once you join any channel, you’ll have 30 free days from that date.

As with any free trial, subscriptions will automatically renew at the standard monthly price once the 30-day period ends. So if you’re just browsing, you’ll need to remember to cancel before the trial expires.

What Are Prime Video Channels?

Prime Video Channels are add-on subscriptions that sit on top of your Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership.

They launched in the UK back in 2017, and the selection has grown massively since then, now featuring well-known services like Apple TV and Paramount+, alongside more specialised offerings.

Here’s the thing: you must have an Amazon Prime subscription (or a standalone Prime Video) first, and then you can add whichever channels you prefer on top of that.

The beauty of Prime Video Channels is that everything lives in one place.

Once you subscribe, you watch through the Prime Video app – whether that’s on your desktop, smartphone, Smart TV, or streaming devices like the Fire TV Stick, Roku, or even through Freesat. One app, one login, multiple channels.

The downside? You’re locked into the Prime Video ecosystem. If you prefer a channel’s standalone app, you’ll need to subscribe separately.

And managing multiple channel subscriptions through Amazon can get pricey if you’re not careful – those £3.99 and £4.99 monthly fees add up quickly.

30-Day Free Trials – The Channels on Offer
