If you were thinking about getting the “Sky Cinema” pass on NOW TV – there’s some good news: A new offer (get it here) will slash its price for up to 12 whole months. But there’s a catch: the deal is only available for new customers.
NOW TV is Sky’s streaming TV platform, which competes with the likes of Netflix and Disney+ (see our NOW TV review and guide). It doesn’t require a lengthy contract, and gives you flexible packages (“passes”) of content – Entertainment, Cinema, Kids and Sports.
The Sky Cinema pass offers 12 live Sky Movies channels, with new movie premieres every weeks, many of the most recent blockbusters, and a rich back-catalogue.

In August, for example, movie premieres on Sky Cinema will include The Joker, Jumanji: The Next Level, Ordinary Love and more.
The Sky Cinema Pass also includes the recently-launched “Sky Cinema Animation” channel, which offers animated blockbusters such as Angry Birds 2, The Secret Life of Pets 2 and many more.
Normally, the Sky Cinema pass costs £11.99/month. However, with this new deal, you can get it for just £9.99/month – for up to 12 months. So, you can potentially save up to £24 for the whole period.
After the 12 months, the price will revert back to normal. Remember, though, that this is not a 12-months contract – you can still cancel the pass at any point. (But if you re-subscribe, you’ll need to pay the normal price again).
This is a great deal for those who can get it, but there are two important caveats:
- The deal is ONLY available to new customers of NOW TV.
- You can’t get the free 7-day trial in conjunction with this deal (if you get the free trial, you will no longer be a ‘new customer’).
