And Just Like That…, the highly anticipated continuation of the hit TV series Sex And The City, gets a UK home and airdate: All 10 episodes will air on Sky and its streaming service, NOW, premiering on the same day as the US.

The news was announced today, along with the release of a brand new teaser trailer for the new series (see below).

The first two episodes will premiere on December 9, and the following eight episodes will be available weekly on Thursdays.

Sex and The City was a major TV phenomenon when it first debuted over 20 years ago. The first season premiered in 1998, with the original series running for six seasons, until 2004.

The original series was created by mega-producer Darren Star, and based on the book Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell.

Two feature films were later produced – Sex and the City in 2008, and Sex and the City 2 in 2010. A Prequel TV series was then produced in 2013, The Carrie Diaries, which only lasted for two seasons.

Earlier this year, the reboot was announced – And Just Like That… – which will see three of the original cast members returning, except for Kim Cattrall (“Samantha Jones”), who declined to return.

And Just Like That… follows “Carrie” (Sarah Jessica Parker), “Miranda” (Cynthia Nixon) and “Charlotte” (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

The series, which is currently filming, also stars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Evan Handler.
