The long Jubilee weekend is upon us – and it brings with it major discounts on most of the leading streaming devices, including the Fire TV Cube and the Roku Streambar, which usually carry a hefty price tag.
As with any discount, the first question to ask yourself is whether you actually need a new streaming device. If you have a somewhat recent Smart TV, it may be enough as it probably has most of the major streaming and catch-up apps.
But standalone streaming sticks bring with them a longer list of supported apps and streaming services, and they’re usually faster and easier to use than Smart TVs or older streaming sticks.
Amazon Fire TV Jubilee Deals
I’m still a big fan of Amazon’s Fire TV streaming devices – I’ve been using the Fire TV Cube as my main device this year, but the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which was released late last year, is just as good in terms of how fast and responsive it is.
All the Fire TV devices are currently on sale – though some of the discounts are better than others.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a fast and powerful device, with Ultra HD (4K) and HDR support, a voice remote with Alexa built-in, and a huge library of supported streaming services and apps (See my full Fire TV Stick 4K Max review).
Fire TV Stick 4K Max Jubilee Offer: £44.99 (Instead of £54.99).
The Fire TV 4K Stick (see my review) is the previous 4K model, and it’s just as good as the 4K Max, except for WiFi 6, and it being a tad bit slower. But you can get it for a great price at the moment.
Fire TV Stick 4K Jubilee Offer: £34.99 instead of £49.99.
If you’re looking for an even cheaper Firestick – either for a second bedroom, or just as your first step into the streaming world – the Fire TV Stick Lite is an excellent entry point – but it only supports Full HD (1080p) and does not have 4K.
You can see our full spec comparison of the various Fire TV streaming stick here.
The Amazon Fire TV Cube
The Fire TV Cube (see my review) combines a 4K Fire TV streaming device with an Alexa Echo speaker, so you can use Amazon’s assistant to control your TV, your streaming, AND talk to it and ask it questions, just like with other Echo devices.
It costs more than the sticks, but the current Jubilee pricing makes it more tempting – £69.99 (Instead of £109.99).
Roku Streaming Devices Offers
The three streaming devices from Roku are excellent streamers – with the 4K Streaming Stick being our top UK streaming device for 2022.
If you’re still waiting to jump on board the Roku wagon, all three of the streaming devices – and the Streambar which adds a soundbar – have gotten big discounts for the Jubilee weekend. (Not sure which one to get? See our Roku comparison).

- Roku Streaming Stick 4K (Premium) – Check Price
The Roku Streambar (see my review) combines two devices in one – a powerful streaming device and a compact soundbar that will, in most cases, sound miles better than your TV’s built-in speakers.
Its Jubilee cost is £99.99, instead of the usual £129.99.
