Netgem, which offers a 4K Freeview TV box and service to direct customers and via several broadband companies (such as TalkTalk), is boosting up its free content roster with several new TV and movie channels, along with 10 new interactive games.

The range of channels includes one that shows back-to-back episodes of Survivor – the iconic US TV series, which has been absent from UK TV for years – and is also available on Samsung’s TV player.

In the US and a few other countries, Survivor is available on Paramount+ (as its a CBS show) – but in the UK, the series never made it to our version of Paramount+. Meanwhile, a UK version of the series is also returning to our screen, with a new series coming to the BBC in 2023.

More new content coming to Netgem includes a POP Kids channel, a channel dedicated to the classic Deal Or No Deal US show, Christmas films and more (see the full list below).

The channels are all broadband-based, therefore customers will need to have their Netgem box connected to the internet – but won’t need an aerial.

Furthermore, the channels are all free – with adverts.

Netgem, a company based in France, has two operation models in the UK – customers can buy its Netgem Netbox 4K as a standalone Freeview Recorder, and then also sign up for a number of additional premium channels, as well as get free ad-supported channels.

In recent years, however, Netgem has been focusing on signing contracts with broadband providers, becoming their “TV Offer”.

Last year, Netgem partnered with TalkTalk, to become one of the budget broadband provider’s TV offers (TalkTalk also offers a 4K Android Box).
