EE TV Hikes All Bundle Prices Right As HBO Max Arrives

EE TV has quietly raised its prices for new subscribers this month, just as the service is going through some of its biggest content changes in years – HBO Max is arriving, Discovery+ is on its way out, and TNT Sports is moving platforms entirely.

If you’re thinking about signing up, here’s what the new prices look like, what’s changing with the content, and a couple of limited-time deals that are worth knowing about before they disappear.

What Is EE TV?

EE TV is the pay-TV service available to BT Broadband and EE Broadband customers – both networks are owned by the same parent company, so whether you’re billed by BT or EE, the TV side of things is the same.

EE TV gives you a choice of two boxes. The EE TV Box Pro is a 4K/HDR YouView-based box with Freeview recording built in, and you can connect an aerial for a full Freeview channel selection (there’s also the ‘mini’ version, now called the EE TV Box Edge).

The EE TV Apple TV 4K Box is an Apple TV 4K with EE’s app pre-installed – EE broadband customers can opt for this one instead. Both give you access to Freeview channels over broadband if you don’t have an aerial, though the selection is smaller that way.

What makes EE TV a bit different from a standard Sky or Virgin contract is the flexibility – you can switch between TV bundles every 30 days during your 24-month contract.

Fancy the Entertainment bundle through spring, then swapping to Sport for the football season? That’s allowed. The downside is that you are locked into a 24-month contract for both the TV and the broadband.

All EE TV prices increase by £2/month every March 31 for as long as you’re in contract. New customers signing up now won’t see an increase until March 31, 2027 – they’ll skip this year’s rise entirely.

The EE TV Bundles: What’s Included And What’s Changing

EE TV currently has five TV bundles, ranging from a straightforward entertainment package to an everything-included premium tier.

One change affecting all new subscribers from March 26, 2026: Discovery+ Entertainment will no longer be included in any EE TV bundle.

If you join before March 26, you’ll keep Discovery+ access via its app for the duration of your contract. But anyone joining after that date won’t get it.

Entertainment – Was £20/month, Now £22/month

The entry point into EE TV’s paid content. For £22/month, you get:

  • NOW Entertainment membership (Sky Atlantic, Sky Comedy, Sky One, and more + HBO Max Basic with Ads)
  • Netflix Standard with Ads
  • Discovery+ Entertainment (for customers joining before March 26 – see above)
  • The EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K EE Box

From March 26, the NOW Entertainment membership gets a significant upgrade: HBO Max launches in the UK on that date and will be built into the NOW Entertainment subscription at no extra cost.

That means EE TV Entertainment subscribers will get access to Game of Thrones, Succession, The Sopranos, The Wire, Euphoria, The Pitt, and the rest of HBO’s back catalogue, all within the NOW app.

As we recently revealed, there’s also a way to access HBO Max more directly. NOW Entertainment subscribers – including EE TV customers – will be able to activate a standalone HBO Max account by contacting NOW via live chat.

This gets you the HBO Max app itself, with Full HD streaming as standard (compared to NOW’s default 720p without a Boost upgrade), two simultaneous streams, and the Warner Bros. film back-catalogue included in the Basic with Ads tier.

A couple of things to note about that standalone option: it isn’t automatic, and getting the latest theatrical releases (like films still in their release window) isn’t possible via this route – that requires a NOW Cinema membership, as there’s no way for NOW or EE TV subscribers to upgrade to the direct HBO Max Standard tier (£5.99/month).

If you want better picture quality for HBO Max within the NOW app itself, adding NOW Boost bumps it up to Full HD and removes on-demand ads (it’s built into some of EE’s bundles).

However, NOW Ultra Boost (normally £9/month), which includes 4K and Dolby Atmos, is still not available to EE TV customers.

Sport – Was £23/month, Now £25/month

The sport-focused entry bundle. For £25/month, you get:

  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (including Eurosport content)
  • Discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment (for customers joining before March 26)
  • The EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K EE Box

From March 26, TNT Sports moves from discovery+ to its new home on HBO Max. EE TV Sport customers will need to download the HBO Max app and sign in with their existing discovery+ credentials to keep watching.

Discovery+ entertainment content (the non-sports stuff) will continue to be available in the discovery+ app until your contract ends – if you joined before March 26. New subscribers from that date won’t get it at all.

Big Entertainment – Was £30/month, Now £32/month

For £32/month, Big Entertainment adds Sky Cinema on top of everything in the standard Entertainment bundle:

  • NOW Entertainment membership (including HBO Max from March 26)
  • NOW Cinema membership (Sky Cinema channels)
  • Netflix Standard with Ads
  • Discovery+ Entertainment (for customers joining before March 26)
  • The EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K EE Box

The NOW Cinema membership here is worth noting in the context of HBO Max: while Entertainment subscribers can’t access the latest theatrical releases on HBO Max without adding Cinema separately, Big Entertainment customers already have NOW Cinema – so they’re better covered on that front, even if the newest Warner Bros. theatrical releases still come via NOW Cinema rather than HBO Max directly.

Big Sport – Was £48/month, Now £51/month

For £51/month, Big Sport adds all 12 Sky Sports channels on top of the Sport bundle:

  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (moving to HBO Max from March 26)
  • NOW Sports membership (all 12 Sky Sports channels), with NOW Boost
  • Discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment (for customers joining before March 26)
  • The EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K EE Box

This is the bundle for anyone who wants both TNT Sports and Sky Sports – Champions League and Premier League on TNT, plus the Premier League, F1, golf, cricket and more on Sky Sports.

Full Works – Was £80/month, Now £88/month

The kitchen sink option. For £88/month, you get everything EE TV has to offer:

  • NOW Entertainment membership (including HBO Max from March 26)
  • NOW Cinema membership
  • NOW Sports membership (all 12 Sky Sports channels)
  • NOW Boost (Full HD, ad-free on-demand)
  • All 4 TNT Sports channels (moving to HBO Max from March 26)
  • Netflix Standard (no adverts)
  • Discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment (for customers joining before March 26)
  • The EE TV Box Pro or Apple TV 4K EE Box

Full Works customers already have NOW Boost included, which means the HBO Max content will also be ad-free, but only when you’re using the NOW app – it will not affect your standalone HBO Max app account.

The £88/month price tag is a significant jump from the previous £80, and it will rise to £90/month from March 31, 2027 for anyone signing up today.

On top of all the above, EE TV this week also added the DAZN app to the EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Edge – available via the Apps rail.

DAZN isn’t bundled into any EE TV plan; it’s a separate subscription managed directly through DAZN, with plans at £14.99/month (Standard) or £24.99/month (Ultimate).

The sports on offer include 185+ boxing fight nights per year, Serie A, LIV Golf, NFL Game Pass, and NBA, among others – so it’s a nice addition to the platform for sports fans, even if it’s an extra cost on top.

Limited-Time Deals: Worth Acting On Quickly

The price rises are live – but for the next 14 days, EE TV is offering discounted entry points on two of its bundles that are worth doing the maths on.

Entertainment For £2/Month For 6 Months

New subscribers can get the Entertainment bundle for just £2/month for the first six months. After that, it reverts to £22/month, then rises to £24/month from March 31, 2027 – for the rest of the 24-month contract. That works out to a saving of £120 compared to paying the full price from day one.

For context, subscribing to NOW Entertainment, Netflix Standard with Ads, and Discovery+ separately would currently cost you around £19-20/month – and that’s without the TV box (although NOW are now running their own deep discount campaign).

So even at the full £22/month price, the bundle holds up reasonably well. At £2/month for six months, it’s a strong deal, especially with HBO Max coming in two weeks.

Full Works For £40/Month For 3 Months

The Full Works bundle is available for £40/month for the first three months – half its usual price. After that, it jumps to £88/month, then £90/month from March 31, 2027. That’s a saving of £144 during the promotional period.

The £144 saving sounds appealing, but it’s worth being clear-eyed: after those three months, you’re committing to £88/month for the rest of your contract.

That’s a serious ongoing spend. If you genuinely want everything – Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Sky Cinema, HBO Max, Netflix ad-free – and you’re already planning to be a BT or EE broadband customer for two years, the maths works out better than buying it all separately.

But it’s a big “if” – are you really going to watch ALL that stuff EVERY MONTH for two years?
