Amazon Slashes All Fire TV Prices For Black Friday 2024

While not every Black Friday deal is worth your time, Amazon’s latest Fire TV discounts are actually pretty decent this year, with price cuts across their entire streaming lineup – from the basic HD stick to their premium devices.

And if you’re in the market for a new streaming device, some of these deals are worth a closer look – particularly the Fire TV Stick 4K, which is currently cheaper than what the HD stick normally costs.

The Fire TV Streaming Device Lineup

Amazon’s streaming device family has seen some changes in 2024. Most recently, they launched the new Fire TV Stick HD, which replaced both the previous 3rd generation Fire TV Stick and the Fire TV Stick Lite, simplifying their lineup.

The current Fire TV lineup is designed to cater to different needs and budgets. At the entry-level, you’ll find the new HD stick for 1080p streaming.

For 4K viewing, Amazon offers two options – the standard 4K stick and the more powerful 4K Max. At the premium end, the Fire TV Cube combines streaming capabilities with Echo speaker functionality.

These devices all run Amazon’s Fire TV operating system, giving you access to all major streaming services, plus features like Alexa voice control and integration with other smart home devices.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Fire TV’s interface has become somewhat cluttered over the years, full of recommendations, Prime Video promotions, adverts, apps, and more – all crammed into rows and rows of thumbnails.

Therefore, it’s not the easiest to use (compared to the simple Roku interface, for example) – yet it’s quite flexible, and offers a lot to those who want maximum choice and streaming flexibility.

Black Friday 2024 Fire TV Device Deals

Ahead of Black Friday, Amazon lowered the price of practically every Firestick – and some of the Fire TV televisions as well.

Fire TV Stick HD (2024 Model)

Amazon’s newest entry-level streamer, launched just last month, brings Full HD streaming with HDR support.

While it doesn’t support 4K, it includes the latest Alexa Voice Remote with TV controls – which was previously missing from their budget offerings.

Now discounted from £39.99 to £27.99, it’s an excellent choice for secondary TVs or anyone who doesn’t care about 4K.

Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen)

Released in late 2023 (see my Fire TV Stick 4K review), this upgraded stick brings 4K streaming along with support for all major HDR formats including Dolby Vision.

With its new processor and improved Wi-Fi 6 support, it offers significant improvements over the HD stick. Currently available at £34.99 (down from £59.99), it’s arguably the best value proposition in the lineup.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen)

The flagship streaming stick (see my Fire TV Stick 4K Max review) features the most powerful processor in the range, along with Wi-Fi 6E support and 16GB storage (double that of other models).

With extra features like the Enhanced Alexa Voice Remote, it’s built for those who want the best possible streaming experience. Now reduced from £69.99 to £44.99.

Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen)

The premium option in Amazon’s streaming lineup (see my Fire TV Cube review) combines a high-end streaming device with Echo speaker functionality.

With hands-free Alexa control and the most powerful processing of any Fire TV device, it’s perfect for those wanting a premium streaming hub. Currently discounted from £139.99 to £109.99.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro

This premium remote (see my Alexa Voice Remote Pro review) adds features like a remote finder, backlight and customisable buttons to any Fire TV device.

Usually £34.99, it’s now available for £22.99.

Fire TV Omni Televisions: New Models with Special Pricing

In addition to the Fire TV sticks, Amazon also sells television sets that have the Fire TV OS already built in.

Amazon’s newest television lineup, which launched earlier this month, brings Mini-LED technology to the UK for the first time in their Fire TV range.

These premium sets feature up to 960 individual dimming zones and peak brightness levels of 1,400 nits, putting them in direct competition with much pricier premium TVs.

They also come with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification for gaming, support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive, and integrated support for the new Freely platform, letting you watch live TV channels without an aerial.

The new Omni QLED Mini-LED series is available in three sizes, all featuring special introductory prices until December 2.

The 55-inch model starts at £649.99, while the 65-inch version is priced at £949.99, and the flagship 75-inch model costs £1,299.99.

Amazon has also refreshed their more affordable 4-Series TVs with an ultra-slim design.

These models maintain 4K UHD resolution with HDR10 and HLG support, along with Freeview Play integration.

Available at special introductory prices until December 2, the 43-inch model is priced at £279.99, the 50-inch at £329.99, and the 55-inch version at £379.99.
